The modern day 'purge'

Honestly, we're nuttier than the Star Trek fans. (I say as a Star Trek fan.)

That's hysterical, and I'd be doing the same thing. You shoulda brought gas masks withyou - that would have made it a real hoot!

I wonder how airport security would react if you had a gas mask in your carry-on. I guess it would depend on if they were a Lost fan.

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to step into this room..."
"It's to re-enact the Purge in Hawaii."
"Ok, never mind."

And then they'd look in your backpack and see all the other weird stuff, and just escort you to a padded cell. But of course, you'd have to have screen caps with you to back it all up. THEN, they do that "he's crazy" nod and just let you go your merry way, listening to you mumble various lines from the show.
"Don't tell me what I can't do"
"You're in my light sticks"
"If we don't live together, we're gonna die alone"
"Waaaaaallt!!!"
"I'm going with you"

It was crazy when 15,000 people, when we watched "Lost in 8 1/2 min" recap, all shouted in unison;

"WAAAAAAALT!!!"

whenever he came on screen. It was almost like a scene from Rocky Horror show.

Sure! We've become a CULT of sorts. We have seen the epis, or gone thru transcripts so often that we know all of the lines, and we wait for them, and say them with conviction. That must have been an awesome feeling..to be in a like-minded community of viewers, where no matter who you turned to, they "got it". You could make Lost-Life connections, and they'd be right there with ya.

Not like back at home, when you hear someone speak about "my boy" and then you go off and say out loud, "My Booooy!" And they look at you like you are insane.

Literally, laughed out loud.

Yeah that must be awesome. I'm so used to being the nutjob who's obsessed with Lost, being in a crowd of fans would be surreal.
